The song was written as a political song about Australian Prime Minister John Howard and many people's eventual opinions about him after entering into the Iraq-war and their relief when he was replaced by current Prime Minister Kevin Rudd. The Herd comes out of Sydney, Australia and consist of Urthboy, Ozi Batla, and Berzerkatron, Unkle Ho, Traksewt, Sulo, Toe-fu, Rok Poshtya and singer Jane Tyrrell. They've been around on the hip-hop scene since 2001 and The King is Dead was released as a single by them in April 2008. They have 5 studio albums so be sure to check them out if your keen.Nuff said.
