Song of the Day for December 16th, 2010: 'Love Song' by Maoli

Today's song is....Love Song, by Hawaiian Island music group Maoli. Maoli have been active on the Hawaiian music scene since 2005 or so. They are based out of the island of Maui, where the band was founded by Glenn Awong (lead vocalist, guitarist, and song-writer), and includes members Corey Lum (vocals, guitar), Hubert Kaina (vocals, keyboards), Kakana Akiu-Corpuz (bass guitar), and Matthew Casil (drums). I am told that 'Maoli' means 'Native' in the Hawaiian language, and all the band-members grew up in Hawaii, and thus the name of their band. Love Song comes off of their recently released second studio album titled Rock Easy, which was just released in August, 2010 and is now available on ITunes and Amazon.
