Now They Call Them Oldies = 'Homeward Bound' by Simon and Garfunkel (1966)

Part 1 of this week's so-called oldies goes to Simon and Garfunkel and their 1966 hit song Homeward Bound. The American duo of Simon and Garfunkel debuted way back in 1957 and originated out of Forest Hills, Queens, New York City, NY, USA. Homeward Bound comes off of their 1966 album titled Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme, and upon its release it would peak at #5 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. According to the wikipedia page, Paul Simon wrote this song whilst stranded overnight at a train station in NW England out of his desire to return home to NYC and his life there. Paul Simon fans no doubt are already well aware, but for all those who aren't already aware, Simon's newest album is set to be released on April 12th, 2011 and if you want more information on that you can visit his website HERE. As for the video below, only a live-tv version was available for embedding on youtube, and so there it is.
