Another oldie here, this time the result was the 1965 hit Bye Bye Baby (Baby Goodbye) by Frankie Vallie and The Four Seasons. This song was originally written by Bob Crewe and Bob Gaudio (a member of The Four Seasons) who sent it to #12 on the US Singles chart. The Four Seasons were an American pop-rock group from Newark, New Jersey and according to Wikipedia the Vocal Group Hall of Fame named them the most popular rock band before The Beatles. In 1975 this song was covered by a Scottish group called Bay City Rollers which sold over a million copies and clenched #1 on the UK Singles chart for six weeks.
