Penguin Prison is a solo-act consisting of
Chris Glover from New York, who rose to prominence with a college band called
The Smartest People at Bard, whose demos came to the attention of rapper
Q-Tip and lead to a record deal under
Universal in 2009. Glover ended up leaving the band after their record got little attention and began doing his own remixes and solo-work under the name of
