Song of the Day = 'As Far As You're Concerned' by Last Dinosaurs

Today's song is....As Far As You're Concerned by Australian alternative rock group Last Dinosaurs. Last Dinosaurs are a trio with a unique sound that come out of Brisbane Australia (aka Brissie or Bris-vegas). The band consists of Sean Caskey (vocals/guitar) Lach Caskey (guitar) Danjuro Koyama (drums) and Sam Gethin-Jones (bass). This song comes off of their EP called Back From the Dead, which was released in March 2010. They are meant to release a full length studio album here pretty soon, although I haven't been able to find a pending release date for that, and it most likely will be available only in Australia, however I would love to hear them get some airplay here in the USA, as well as the UK, but at least they are up on this vlog for now. Check out their EP, and if you like what you hear be sure to also check out their Myspace page HERE, as well as my previous posts on this vlog. Skål!

Song of the Day for August 19th, 2010: "Alps" by Last Dinosaurs

And the song is Alps, by Aussie alternative-rock band Last Dinosaurs. I have posted some previous songs by Last Dinosaurs, who come at us out of Brisbane, Australia in sunny Queensland. This band has a delightful distant (almost ambient) and upbeat sound to it that is a bit nostalgic or something, hard to explain really...but very very good all the same. In case you forgot from the last post the band members are Sean Caskey (vox/guitar) Lach Caskey (guitar) Danjuro Koyama (drums) and Sam Gethin-Jones (bass). The song Alps comes off of their Back from the Dead EP, which was released in February of 2010, and which I very highly recommend as it contains 5 excellent tracks! Once Again you are going to have to go TO THEIR MYSPACE PAGE HERE TO LISTEN TO THE SONG.

VJ Samsonite's "Hot New Music" song of the day is....

...Honolulu, by Aussie indie rock band Last Dinosaurs. The Last Dinosaurs come at us out of sunny Queensland, from the city of Brisbane (aka Brissie!), which is not far from the sunshine coast there in Australia. The band consists of Sean Caskey (vocals/guitar) Lach Caskey (guitar) Danjuro Koyama (drums) and Sam Gethin-Jones (bass). This song comes off of their EP called Back From the Dead, which was released in March 2010. This band has it! They have a pretty basic indie-rock sound, nothing too fancy, but there is something else to their stuff that makes it..oh I don't know.. "delightful" and "upbeat." Anyways, there is not much info about them, but naturally they have a myspace page HERE, and if you sign up to their mailing list you get a free mp3 download, so don't miss that! The video is just a picture, but the song is decent quality, all I could find on good old youtube, Woot!Back From The Dead
