The Last Days Of House Weekly: 'Toop Toop (Reggae Rock Mix)' by Cassius (2006)

This weekly house track goes to French house-duo Cassius and their 2006 song Toop Toop (Cassius Reggae Rock Mix). Cassius is a French-duo from Paris, France; they've been active on the house-scene since 1988; and the duo consists of producers Philippe Zdar (Philippe Cerboneschi) and Boom Bass (Hubert Blanc-Francard). I am specifically featuring the Reggae Rock Mix here, and by that I mean the 3-minute version of that mix as opposed to the 10 minute one. The original track comes off of their 15 Again album (released September 2006), and this particular mix can be found on the Ministry of Sound Annual 2007 (Australian import). Check it, woot woot!

Feature Song of the Day = "Civilization' by Justice (2011)

Today's feature song is Civilization by French electro-house duo Justice. Justice has been active on the electronic music scene since 2003, and consists of Paris-based Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay who are also one of the most successful groups on the Ed Banger Records label. Civilization is a new single released, just out on March 28th, 2011 and it is likely to show up on their upcoming new album which is yet to be announced, so until then check this song out, it lives up to their older stuff for sure!

Today's Feature Song = 'Way Back Home' by Bag Raiders (2010)

Today's feature song is Way Back Home by Sydney-based Australian house/electro duo Bag Raiders. Bag Raiders have been active out on the Sydney music scene since at least 2007, and the duo consists of DJs Chris Stracey and Jack Glass who most well known for their live-shows and of course their house-electro-remixes. Way Back Home comes off of their October 2010 self-titled debut full-studio album.
