Your Daily Track: 'Meet Me Under Neon' by Pluto Jonze (2011)

Today's daily track, which has hardly been daily as of late, but I hope to start getting back into the swing of posting daily so bear with me. Featured Song of the Day: 'Zimbabwe' by New Navy (2011)

Today's feature song is Zimbabwe by Australian indie-dance group New Navy. New Navy hail out of Sydney, Australia and consists of members Matt-Drums, James-Guitar, Benjamin-Bass Guitar & Vocals, and Jamie-Guitar (no last names provided). Feature Song Of The Day = 'Fall At Your Feet' by Boy And Bear (2010)

Today's featured song is Fall At Your Feet by Australian indie-folk band Boy And Bear. Boy And Bear started out in Sydney Australia in 2009 originally as a solo-project by Dave Hosking who was later was joined by Jake Tarasenko, Killian Gavin, and Tim Hart, all members that have since contributed as singers and songwriters in the group. Fall At Your Feet is a cover version of the original 1992 song by Aussie/Kiwi band Crowded House. The Boy And Bear cover version was released in November of 2010 on a Finn Brothers covers album titled He Will Have His Way, so you can find it there. Feature Song of the Day = 'Newtown' by The Art (2011)

Today's feature song is Newtown, by Sydney-based metal band The Art. The Art are based in Sydney (suburb of Newtown), Australia and consist of band members Steven Asbury (Drums), Jak (Guitar / Vocals),  Kara Jayne - Bass / Vocals, and Azaria (Vocals / Guitar). Newtown comes off of their debut album, which was just released on February 28th, 2011 titled Here Come The War. If you like what you hear then be sure to head over to their MySpace page HERE. Today's Feature Song = 'Way Back Home' by Bag Raiders (2010)

Today's feature song is Way Back Home by Sydney-based Australian house/electro duo Bag Raiders. Bag Raiders have been active out on the Sydney music scene since at least 2007, and the duo consists of DJs Chris Stracey and Jack Glass who most well known for their live-shows and of course their house-electro-remixes. Way Back Home comes off of their October 2010 self-titled debut full-studio album. Today's feature song is Australian mid-summer dance hit King Of The Stars, by Dr Don Don. Dr Don Don is actually the dance alter-ego of Sydney-based hip-hop producer Chasm (Chris Hamer-Smith). King of the Stars is his second single, which was released in Australia on January 15th, 2011. Today's Featured Song = 'Easy to Love' by The Jezabels

Today's song is...Easy to Love, by Sydney-based Australian indie-pop-rock group The Jezabels. The band formed originally back in 2007 where the members met at University and started up the group, which consists of Hayley Mary (vocals), Heather Shannon (piano/keyboard), Nik Kaloper (drums), and Samuel Lockwood (bass guitar). Easy to Love came off of their She's So Hard EP, which was released back in 2009, so its not a new song anymore, and they actually have more recently released another EP titled Dark Storm. The song for today is....My Rescue, by Australian folk/psych/hard/house duo Canyons. Song of the Day for October 12th, 2010: "Your Thing" by Urthboy

And the song is...Your Thing by Australian hip/hop MC and producer Urthboy. Tim Levinson (aka Urthboy) originates out of Sydney, Australia and he has been active in the music industry since 1998. He is best known for his involvement as a member of Australian hip-hop group The Herd. Urthboy has released 3 studio albums, the latest is titled Spitshine. Your Thing is a single release, which came out in September of 2010. In fact it is still available as a free mp3 download here, through the Horroshow facebook page.

Song of the Day for September 29th, 2010: "Save Our Town" by Philadelphia Grand Jury

And the song is....Save Our Town by Australian indie-rock band Philadelphia Grand Jury. Philadelphia Grand Jury are a 3-piece band from Sydney, Australia but who are now based in the UK. They consist of band members Simon Berckelman, Joel Beeson, and latest addition Calvin Welch on drums. This song was released as a single from their new album titled Hope is for the Hopeless, and this single was released in August 2010. Song of the Day for September 28th, 2010: "Our Song (feat. Seth Sentry)" by Horrorshow

And the song of the day is....Our Song (feat. Seth Sentry) by Australian hip-hop duo Horrorshow. Horrorshow consists of duo Adit Gauchan (a.k.a. Adit) (DJ), and
Nick Bryant-Smith (a.k.a. Solo) (as emcee) who have been around since 2006 and come out of sunny Sydney, Australia. Both of these members grew up in the inner-west suburbs of Sydney and began their hip-hop careers at the age of 19. They have released two full-length albums in the past and have been releasing a few new singles here and there as well, in fact this song is still available as a free mp3 download as well as at least one other Horrorshow track at this link.  Also if you have a facebook account they have some free downloads and artist info on their page there, which I would highly recommend. Check them out, and enjoy yourself some great Aussie hip-hop!

And the song is....Friday Night, by Australian electro-funk-house artist CASSIAN. Now, there is little to no bio info on this artist, however he is from Sydney, and he does sound a bit like another electronic group called Chromeo. And the song is...Gate Track, by Aussie indie-pop group Convaire. Convaire formed in 2009 in Sydney, Australia, and consisting of members John Towey (guitars), sisters Liz and Jane Slattery (keyboards) and Dan Talbot (bass guitar). Gate Track was a single release in 2010, there is no youtube video for this track yet, but it is available for free download at this link. Song of the Day for August 29th, 2010: "Talking Like I'm Falling Down Stairs" by Sparkadia (2010)

And the song is....Talking Like I'm Falling Down Stairs by Australian alternative-pop band Sparkadia. Sparkadia formed as the brainchild of Alex Burnett back in 2004 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, and was originally a 4-piece band but is currently a solo-project. Talking Like I'm Falling Down the Stairs the first single of the new album which is yet to be released.
