Movie: Dreamscape (1984)
Director: Joseph Ruben
Rating: 3.8/5 Stars ***'
Definitely an 80's era sci-fi film, and personally I found this film more interesting than its fancy effects/over complicated, grand-child-film Inception. Dennis Quaid's character, who has some telepathic and psychic abilities, is reluctantly recruited by a covert government experiment on dreaming, and trained to enter other people's dreams via use of special lab equipment. After a few benign dream tests Quaid discovers that there is more to the experiment than any of them had bargained for. Check this one out, it is a classic.
Mostly Music but also some Movies, Media, Conspiracy, New Age/Spiritual, Meditation, and much more.

A Brief Movie Review: 'The Thing'
Movie: The Thing (1982)
Director: John Carpenter
Rating: 3.4/5 Stars ***'This is the 1982 John Carpenter version, and I just noticed they've remade it again for 2011. I haven't seen the old-old one or the new one, but this one was pretty good as far as 1980's slimy-alien-sci-fi flicks go. I have been getting into John Carpenter movies a bit lately so you may see a few more reviews coming up for them. There's always more coming.

A Brief Movie Review: 'One Crazy Summer' (1986)
Movie: One Crazy Summer (1986)
Director: Savage Steve Holland
Rating: 2/5 Stars ** One Crazy Summer is a classic 80's comedy that falls in line with other goof-ball/jock vs. nerd comedies like Revenge of the Nerds, Caddyshack, and Police Academy. So if you dig those movies you will definitely like this one, as it has all of the same awkwardly acted scenes and humor. I wonder what Demi Moore and John Cusack think now when and if they watch this movie nowadays?

Your Daily Song: 'Dig a Little Deeper' by Peter Bjorn and John (2011)
Today's feature song goes to Swedish indie-rock group Peter, Bjorn, and John and their song Dig a Little Deeper. Peter, Bjorn, and John have been active on the rock-music scene since 1999, they are based out of Stockholm, Sweden, and consist of members Peter Morén (vocals, guitar and harmonica), Björn Yttling (bass guitar, keyboards and vocals) and John Eriksson (drums, percussion and vocals). Dig a Little Deeper comes off of their new album titled Gimme Some, which was just released on March 28th, 2011 and which has in my opinion been extremely under-rated by all the music critics. Brief Movie Review for 'Return of the Secaucus Seven (1979)
Director: John Sayles
Rating 4.5/5 Stars ****'
Well done for a low budget movie, and this was apparently director John Sayles's first movie! This movie is all about the dialogue and character interactions, so don't expect too much action or cinematography or anything of that nature. Apparently the 1983 movie The Big Chill was almost completely based off of this one, so if you liked it you will probably like the original.

A Brief Movie Review: 'Watchers' (1988)
Movie: Watchers (1988)
Director: Jon Hess
Rating: 3.5/5 Stars ***'This movie was actually a lot better than I thought it would be all things considered. A teenaged Corey Haim comes across a lost dog who turns out to be a grim reaper of sorts as the dog is telepathically linked to a genetic mutant killing machine made by the US military to replace soldiers. The only problem is that this franken-squatch has escaped the lab to terrorize a nearby town in search of the dog. Check this one out if your looking for some cheap and easy entertainment, its on netflix too.
